Square Enix & Hobby Japan announced the upcoming release of Opus XXIII "Hidden Trials", the latest booster pack set for the FFTCG. This new expansion will feature custom-themed cards and enhanced 'Limit Break' mechanic. The release date is tentatively scheduled for August 02, 2024.
The Hidden Trials booster pack set will feature a total of 292 cards, including 130 normal cards and 162 premium foil cards. Among the premium foil cards, players can look forward to 30 Full Art cards, 1 Special card, and 1 Crystal card. Collectors will be particularly delighted with the inclusion of a very rare Special Card [23-037R], showcasing an original illustration of Final Fantasy XIII Lightning by Miki Yamashita.
In addition to the new cards, Hidden Trials will also include three Legacy cards: Lightning [15-041L], Rydia [15-083L], and Refia [19-102L].
To bring the characters to life, Opus XXIII features new artwork contributed by renowned artists. Artists such as Rubi Asami (Final Fantasy VI / Final Fantasy XIII-2), Mihoko Ishii (Final Fantasy VII Remake), Yuya Ishihata (Final Fantasy IX), and many more have created captivating illustrations for the cards.
Furthermore, the Hidden Trials expansion introduces a new featured title: Final Fantasy: Record Keeper.
