FFVII Rebirth: First Impressions Released Based on the TGS2023 Demos

In a recent preview of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth gameplay, players got a good look at what this highly anticipated sequel has in store. The demo included scenes from the well-known Nibelheim Mako reactor mission and a trip to Junon, leaving a strong impression on those who tried it.

One noticeable thing was how Sephiroth, Cloud, and Tifa were shown in their earlier days. They acted more like friends, showing a different side of them compared to their current selves. Cloud's character, especially, gave interesting insights into the effort he put into creating this complex story.

The demo also revealed various environments, from small dungeons to large open spaces for exploring. This added verticality made exploring more interesting, which fans of the Remake will surely like.

Playing as Sephiroth was different, with his unique fighting style setting him apart from the other party members. His moves, like Pierce and Sword Dance, along with the ability to go into a Retaliation Stance, added depth to battles. The introduction of Synergy Abilities made battles even more strategic, allowing for coordinated attacks.

Being able to climb and reach new areas added to the exploration aspect. This encouraged players to search for hidden Materia, though it makes you wonder how these findings fit into the bigger story.

In larger areas, party members follow you, making it easier to find hidden items or complete quests. Being able to summon Chocobos and set fast travel points also makes getting around simpler. The big map they showed is just one of many, promising a huge and immersive world for players to explore.

Chocobos, a beloved part of the Final Fantasy universe, are back and more interactive than before. Now, players can use them for treasure hunting, though sometimes other party members might get in the way. The options to customize Chocobos suggest exciting possibilities, especially for the upcoming visit to the Golden Saucer.

Extra missions offer more challenges and rewards, letting players tackle them at their own pace. The materials you find along the way can be used for crafting on the spot, blending different aspects of gameplay together smoothly.

The demo left a strong impression, showing that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth stays true to its roots while introducing new gameplay mechanics. With familiar places and characters given a fresh look, it promises to be an adventure full of surprises and cherished memories.

In a recent interview with IGN, it was confirmed that Vincent will be a supporting character in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, much like Red XIII in the Remake. This decision gives a glimpse into the role Vincent will play in the story and adds more interest for fans waiting eagerly for the game's release.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is revealed to have a total file size of 150 GB. This will be split between two discs, with one holding 100 GB and the other 50 GB. Unlike the original Final Fantasy VII, players won't need to change discs during gameplay.

Director Naoki Hamaguchi, producer Yoshinori Kitase, and creative director Tetsuya Nomura shared details in an interview with Game Informer. Hamaguchi explained that due to the PS5's setup, players will start by installing the entire game using both discs. After that, only one disc will be needed to enjoy the full game. This choice was made to make sure the team could fully bring their creative vision to life.
