The event was shared by Square Enix Senior Manager for Social Media, David Lee, who posted a photo of the striking figure. According to the accompanying placard, the event is set to kick off on October 4, 2023.
In the photo, the Colonel is donned in the signature Black Mage hat, holding a mage staff in one hand and a Moogle in the other, while still clad in the familiar white suit. This confirms our prior knowledge from a teaser trailer that hinted at the Colonel's role as a Black Mage in the upcoming event.
It's worth noting that this KFC-themed event is exclusively tied to Final Fantasy XIV, rather than the broader Final Fantasy series.
