Surprisingly, even with his responsibilities at Mistwalker, the development studio behind titles like Blue Dragon and Fantasian, Sakaguchi managed to keep his FFXIV endeavors discreet. His team, it appears, had no knowledge of his deep involvement in the game, as revealed during conversations with Final Fantasy XIV director and producer Naoki Yoshida.
Sakaguchi's dedication bore fruit when he astounded Yoshida with evidence of his first ultimate raid clear, a feat that commands immense respect within the Final Fantasy XIV community.
