Final Fantasy Exceeds 180M Sales, Partners with Takarazuka Revue for Stage Adaptation of FFXVI

Square Enix has announced a collaboration with a Japanese musical theatre group, the Takarazuka Revue, and together they are bringing the magical world of Final Fantasy to the stage. This announcement comes as Square Enix celebrates a remarkable achievement: the franchise has sold over 180 million units worldwide since the release of the first game in 1987.

The latest installment in the series, Final Fantasy XVI, was released in June and has taken the world by storm. Now, fans will have the opportunity to witness the epic tale of Final Fantasy brought to life on the stage of the Takarazuka Revue. This collaboration promises to deliver an innovative and enchanting musical experience.


Square Enix has announced the dates and locations for the upcoming shows, although specific details about the performances are yet to be revealed. The shows will be held at two venues: the Takarazuka Grand Theatre from May 17, 2024, to June 23, 2024 (with pre-sales beginning on April 27, 2024), and the Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre from July 13, 2024, to August 25, 2024 (with pre-sales starting on June 9, 2024).


Fans of Final Fantasy and lovers of musical theatre have much to look forward to as this exciting collaboration brings together two artistic worlds in a spectacular production that will surely leave audiences in awe.
