Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch on January 23, 2025, for PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Square Enix has officially confirmed that the game is Steam Deck Verified, providing players with flexibility in how they experience the game.
"Cue the iconic FINAL FANTASY fanfare because we can confirm that FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH is officially Steam Deck Verified!"
Valve's verification ensures that the game performs well on the Steam Deck under its default settings. This includes legible text, Steam Deck-specific controller icons, and compatibility with the system’s default controller configuration. Square Enix also confirmed they had worked on optimizations for the platform since announcing the PC version.
In addition to its compatibility with the Steam Deck, the PC version features several enhancements, including frame rates of up to 120FPS, improved lighting, refined textures, and NVIDIA DLSS support for enhanced image quality.
