Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Discusses Platinum Trophy Challenge and Quest Flexibility

In a recent interview with Kakuchopueri, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that obtaining the Platinum Trophy for the game will be no small feat. He emphasized that the challenge is intentional, citing the game's expansive storytelling and extensive world map exploration, surpassing its predecessor in scale.

Hamaguchi's statement on the Platinum Trophy challenge is as follows:

"Obtaining the platinum trophy in this game is quite challenging, and it’s by design. We’ve put significant emphasis on storytelling and world map exploration, exceeding the game’s volume compared to the previous version. To achieve the platinum trophy, thorough and comprehensive gameplay is necessary. This means not only mastering the trophies but also embracing the broader elements of the game."

Hamaguchi further explained that players will have the option to replay chapters after completing the game. This feature grants them control over their quests, enabling them to reset cleared quests or revisit past ones. This newfound flexibility allows players to choose which quest situations they wish to engage with, offering a dynamic approach to gameplay.
