The Lunar Rebirth Collection Event marks another collaboration between Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth and Apex Legends. Running from January 21 to February 11, the event brings Materia and the iconic Buster Sword back to the Apex Legends universe, alongside a host of new cosmetics and rewards.
Materia powers return via Rift Relics, offering Legends unique abilities. Blue Materia heals the player by damaging enemies, while Green Materia emits a shock nova upon reloading. Purple Materia increases the chance of critical hits, and Red Materia summons a Nessie companion to assist in combat. The Buster Sword also makes a comeback, featuring light and heavy attacks, a blocking mechanic, and a Limit Break that charges based on player actions.

The event includes 36 Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth-themed cosmetics, such as Cloud, Tifa, Aerith, and Moogle-inspired skins, as well as 24 Lunar-themed cosmetics. Players who unlock all 24 Collection Event cosmetics will receive Alter’s “Voidsnake” Prestige skin, “Venomous Aura” Skydive Trail, and “Crystal Corruption” Finisher.
Additionally, a free reward track allows players to earn up to 1,400 points daily, ensuring a variety of ways to participate in the event without requiring in-game purchases.
