During Otakon 2024, held from August 2 to August 4, several voice actors and staff members of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth revealed interesting news about the game. Naoki Hamaguchi, the director of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, confirmed that the next installment in the Final Fantasy VII Remake series will feature a "revamped, even better version of Queen’s Blood." This information, along with video clips from the panel, was shared by streamer Neo Aoshi, who attended the event.
“We are preparing a revamped, even better version of Queen’s Blood for the next series of this title, so please stay tuned! I hope to be able to share more in the near future.”
Queen’s Blood is a collectible card game introduced in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. This fan-favorite minigame allows players to collect various cards with different effects and rarities and participate in a lengthy, optional questline.
The return of Queen’s Blood is highly anticipated, continuing the long tradition of excellent Final Fantasy card-based minigames, following in the footsteps of Final Fantasy IX’s Tetra Master and Final Fantasy VIII’s Triple Triad. Although specific details about the improvements and additions were not disclosed, fans are already eager to see how the strategic, grid-based game will evolve in the upcoming installment.
