Yoshinori Kitase and Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed in an interview with 4Gamer that fans don’t need to worry, the third installment will not be exclusive to next-gen consoles like the PlayStation 6. This addresses concerns from players who experienced the first part of the series on PS4 and the second on PS5, ensuring that Part 3 will be accessible to a wide range of players. However, specific platform details are still pending.
4Gamer: "For those who have played Final Fantasy VII Remake on PS4 and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on PS5, there may be concerns that the third installment will be for next-gen consoles."
Kitase: "No, please don’t worry about the next one (laughs)."
In the same interview, Naoki Hamaguchi reaffirmed Square Enix’s broader commitment to accessibility. He emphasized the plan to release future titles across a variety of platforms, ensuring that more players can enjoy the series. Specific platform details for Part 3 remain unannounced.
Hamaguchi: "As I mentioned earlier, we plan to release future titles on a wide range of platforms so that more people can enjoy them. While we can’t make any promises at this stage, we want as many people as possible to play the games we create, so we’ll do our best in that regard."
