Square Enix has provided comprehensive details on the early access launch for the Final Fantasy XIV: Dawntrail expansion. Early access will be available to players who pre-ordered the expansion starting June 28, 2024, at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) / 9:00 (GMT) / 10:00 (BST) / 19:00 (AEST). The official release of the expansion is scheduled for July 2, 2024, with early access concluding on July 5, 2024, at 11:59 p.m (PDT) / (GMT) / (JST).
Registration codes for early access will start being distributed on June 24, 2024. These codes need to be entered in the Pre-order Bonus Codes section of the Mog Station website. The codes will be sent out sequentially to ensure a smooth distribution process. Players on PC, Mac, and Steam platforms must register these codes to gain early access, whereas PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X users will be automatically registered for early access and the full version upon purchase.
To continue playing the new content after the early access period ends, players will need to register the full Dawntrail expansion code. It is important to note that the option to enter this code on the Mog Station will only become available after the official launch on July 2, 2024. Attempting to enter the code before this time will result in an "invalid code" error.
Square Enix also requests that players be considerate regarding spoilers during the early access period. While there are no restrictions on content discussion, posting, or streaming, users are encouraged to avoid sharing spoilers to respect those who may start playing at the official launch or at their own pace.
