Square Enix has announced its lineup for PAX East 2024, featuring Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI. Fans can look forward to panels, activities, and exclusive merchandise during the event, which will be held on March 22-23, 2024.
For Final Fantasy XVI, on March 22nd, there will be a panel called "Leviathan the (Not So) Lost is Here: What's New in FFXVI DLC, The Rising Tide." Producer Naoki Yoshida, DLC Director Takeo Kujiraoka, and Localization Director Michael-Christopher Koji Fox will discuss the final expansion for Final Fantasy XVI during this panel. Attendees will receive a special pixel art Jill pin as a commemorative item. The panel can be watched on Square Enix's official YouTube and Twitch channels, as well as PAX East's secondary Twitch channel.
The Final Fantasy XIV panel on March 23rd, titled "Journey to Dawntrail: The 10 Year Adventure of FFXIV," will be presented by Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida. This panel will offer a retrospective on the past 10 years of Final Fantasy XIV and provide a sneak peek into the highly anticipated Dawntrail expansion. Fans can catch the panel on the official FFXIV Twitch channel and PAX East's stream.
In addition to the panels, the Final Fantasy XIV booth will offer various activities for fans. The New Player Experience section will allow newcomers to try their skills against Ifrit, Titan, or Garuda and receive FFXIV Online Starter Editions upon victory. A photo shoot area will be available for fans to capture memorable moments. For those seeking a challenge, the "I Beat Asura Battle Challenge" will test their mettle, and victorious participants will be rewarded with exclusive t-shirts.
