Square Enix has released the schedule for the worldwide demo launch. The demo will be available in the Playstation Store at 1:00 am PDT, 10:00 am CET, and 5:00 pm JST.
The demo consists of two sections: an opening prologue and a special battle segment. The prologue, which lasts approximately two and a half hours, reveals Clive Rosfield's backstory and the events that led him to his current journey. Progress made in the prologue can be carried over to the main game upon its release.
Completing the prologue unlocks the special battle demo, which lasts about two hours and focuses on action-heavy gameplay. The segment involves infiltrating a fort at night with the support of Clive's wolf companion, Torgal, and Cidolfus Telamon. Players will face various enemies and epic bosses. Although progress cannot be saved in this segment, it allows players to explore a wider range of combat options through unlocked abilities and accessories. The special battle demo can be replayed multiple times, giving players a chance to experience Clive's full-fledged action battles in advance.
