Animax TV has revealed an exciting surprise for all Final Fantasy fans – a special HD remaster of Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals, scheduled for release in February. Originally launched in 1994 on limited VHS and Laserdisc, this overlooked gem is ready to capture audiences once again on February 25th in Japan, with a global release just around the corner.
Produced by Madhouse under the direction of Rintaro, this anime OVA serves as a sequel set 200 years after Final Fantasy V. The story follows a new group of heroes as they confront the malevolent Deathgyunos on Planet R. Despite its initial limited availability, the OVA's unique combination of original characters and cameo appearances from Final Fantasy V ensures that its revival will be eagerly anticipated by fans worldwide.
