In an exclusive interview with Daily Star, Naoki Hamaguchi confirmed that Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second installment of the Remake Trilogy, will not include any DLC content. While the first installment featured an additional Yuffie-centric chapter, the Rebirth team has dedicated all resources to the swift completion of the trilogy.
Hamaguchi acknowledged fan interest in expansions, stating,
"We definitely do hear the desire from fans, the voices out there that want that kind of thing."
However, he explained that the priority lies elsewhere:
"What the fans really want to see the most is not necessarily DLC. They want to see the third part of the series as quickly as possible."
With this focus, the developers aim to deliver the final installment in the trilogy without delays, ensuring a seamless continuation of the story.
"We really are putting all our efforts into getting the third game out as quickly as we can. So for the moment, that's where we're focusing our time."
