In a recent interview with Gamer.nl, Naoki Yoshida revealed that his team is currently working on two new, unannounced games. Yoshida, who oversees Creative Studio 3, shared:
"We are working on some games that have not been announced. Soon there may be some announcements about two new games that we are working on."
Despite recent restructuring within Square Enix, Yoshida confirmed that there have been no layoffs or changes within his team. Instead, the studio is actively hiring new developers. He emphasized the studio's importance within the company, stating:
"The company has high expectations for our division. It is one of the pillars of Square Enix."
Rumors suggest that one of the new projects might be a highly anticipated remake of Final Fantasy IX, which would also explain the references included in the upcoming FFXIV expansion, Dawntrail. Additionally, Yoshida hinted a few weeks ago that it might be time for another Final Fantasy Tactics game, which fans are desperately craving for. Fans can look forward to these potential announcements in the near future.
