Naoki Yoshida Considers FFXVI DLC Following Player Feedback

In a recent interview, Naoki Yoshida, the producer of Final Fantasy XVI, revealed that Square Enix is now considering the possibility of DLC for the game. Initially, Square Enix had described the game as a standalone experience, stating that it would only be expanded upon if there was a demand from players. However, Yoshida's change in stance indicates that they have been listening to the fans' feedback.

During the interview with GamerBraves, Yoshida acknowledged the players' desire for more content and stated that Square Enix is now exploring their options for the future. He emphasized that their primary goal was to create a complete and satisfying story without the need for DLC, and they believe they have achieved that. However, they are open to the idea of additional content based on the feedback received.

While DLC has become more common in recent entries of the Final Fantasy series, such as Final Fantasy XV and Final Fantasy VII Remake, Square Enix has just started considering it for Final Fantasy XVI. Therefore, it may take a while before any extra content is developed and made available to players.
