Square Enix has announced the end of service for the iOS version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition due to an unresolved issue affecting in-app purchases. The problem, which prevents users from accessing purchased content, including the full version of the game, has been under investigation since January 24, 2025. The issue stems from changes to the in-app purchases model, which Square Enix cannot fully resolve. Square Enix has determined that implementing a fix is not possible, leading to the decision to discontinue support for the iOS version.
Support for the game will continue on other platforms. However, players affected by the issue on iOS are eligible for refunds.
"Customers who wish to request a refund should contact Apple Support and request a refund from them. If you have any questions or issues regarding this process, please contact our support center linked below by August 31, 2025."
Refunds are available for users who made in-app purchases in January 2024 or later. Eligible content includes 15 in-game items, such as Moogle Arms, Relic Arms, various character crystals, and the full version of the game.
Square Enix has apologized for the inconvenience caused by the issue and has directed affected users to its support center for further assistance.
