Square Enix Unveils Stunning Ul'dah Diorama for Final Fantasy XIV's 10th Anniversary

To mark the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy XIV, Square Enix has brought a piece of the game's virtual world to reality. Square Enix unveiled a stunning diorama of Ul'dah, one of the game's pivotal city-states.

Measuring an impressive 2 meters by 2 meters, this miniature marvel meticulously recreates Ul'dah at a scale of 1/180. Through clever use of perspective and compression techniques, the diorama offers a streetside view reminiscent of the in-game experience. Notable locations like the Quicksand inn and Sapphire Avenue Exchange have been skillfully enlarged, while distant structures maintain their appropriate proportions.

What sets this diorama apart is the attention to detail. Player-sized models of characters populate the streets, creating an immersive atmosphere. Furthermore, a captivating "night mode" showcases the citadel's windows illuminated by embedded LED lights.

Ul'dah, nestled in the Thanalan desert, is a bustling mercantile hub within the realm of Eorzea. Under the rule of Sultana Nanamo Ul Namo, it thrives as a major economic force. The Immortal Flames Grand Company, Ul'dah's formidable military arm and a central faction in the Eorzean Alliance, calls this city-state home. For players embarking on the journey as a Gladiator, Pugilist, or Thaumaturge, Ul'dah marks the initial step, with later visits to Gridania and Limsa Lominsa, the other two starting cities in Final Fantasy XIV.
